Abba M. Krieger is the Robert Steinberg Professor Emeritus of Statistics and Data Science at the Wharton School. His research interests include applications in the law, operations management and marketing, applied probability, complex sample surveys, density estimation, grouped data, observational studies, and worst-case analysis of heuristics.

He joined Wharton in 1974 and served as chairperson of the Statistics department from 2002-2008. He has won several teaching awards, including the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching at the University of Pennsylvania. His fellowships include the International Statistical Institute, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and the American Statistical Association.

He received his PhD at Harvard University in 1974.
