As we continue our “2019: A Look Ahead” series, we focus on the financial markets, which have been on a roller coaster of ups and downs the last few months. The Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a decline over 10 percent and both the NASDAQ and S&P 500 saw significant declines as well. The factors that lead to some of this uncertainty are still in place, including the U.S. trade war with China and President Trump’s open disagreement with the Federal Reserve’s decision to raise interest rates.
