President Donald Trump this week revived two oil pipeline projects that had been sidelined by the Obama administration. The Keystone XL pipeline was scuttled by the White House and the State Department in 2015, and the Dakota Access pipeline was recently stalled after protests about a portion of the project that opponents say will destroy Native American land and burial sites.

Wharton legal studies and business ethics professor Eric Orts recently appeared on the Knowledge at Wharton show on Wharton Business Radio on SiriusXM channel 111 along with Charles Mason, a professor of petroleum and natural gas economics at the University of Wyoming, and Harrison Fell, an agricultural and resource economics professor at North Carolina State University, to discuss the move and its possible implications.
