Nicolaj Siggelkow is the David M. Knott Professor of Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is the co-director of the Mack Institute for Innovation Management at Wharton and the former department chair of Wharton’s Management Department. He studied Economics at Stanford University and received a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University. In 2008, he received the Administrative Science Quarterly Scholarly Contribution Award for the most significant paper published in ASQ five years earlier. In 2013, Nicolaj was elected as a fellow of the Strategic Management Society. Nicolaj is a member of the editorial review boards of Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Strategic Organization. He has been the recipient of multiple MBA and Undergraduate Excellence in Teaching Awards, including the Class of 1984 Award presented to the faculty member with the highest teaching rating in the MBA classroom. His 2019 book is titled Connected Strategy, which is also the focus of his current research. Nicolaj has been involved in a large range of open enrollment and custom executive education programs on strategy, including programs for AXA, Citibank, Google, Hitachi, IBM, Merrill Lynch, Microsoft, Munich Re, PepsiCo, Progressive, and Sanofi-Aventis.
