In this Knowledge at Wharton interview, Mari Pangestu, Indonesia’s minister of tourism and creative industries, discusses the strong recovery of tourism in her country since the Bali bombings 10 years ago, and the large infrastructure investments underway to grow this key sector further. In addition to her tourism portfolio, Pangestu is co-coordinator of the Task Force on Poverty and Development for the United Nations Millennium Project. The interview was conducted during Wharton’s recent Global Alumni Forum in Jakarta.
