Sergio Salgado is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Wharton School. His research interests include macroeconomics and labor economics. He has won several awards and honors, including a Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship at the University of Minnesota and Second Place in the Hardy Paper Competition with the Department of Economics at the University of Minnesota.

Before coming to Wharton, he was a visiting Scholar at Stanford University, a research assistant at the University of Minnesota and a research assistant with the Central Bank of Chile.

Salgado earned a PhD and an MA in economics from the University of Minnesota. Salgado also holds an MA in economics from the University of Chile and an a BSc in Economics and Business from the University of Santiago, Chile.
