Sandra (Gabriele) Schafhäutle’s research primarily focuses on the use of information in capital markets, corporate disclosure, and transparency and disclosure incentives. She has a strong and growing interest in topics that lie at the intersection of accounting and environmental economics.
Professor Schafhäutle teaches accounting and financial reporting. She completed her doctoral studies at the University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam Business School. During her Ph.D., she held a one-year non-degree visiting PhD position at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. Prior to her career in academia, she received a MSc in International Business from Maastricht University and a BSc in Economics from the University of Konstanz, and she was a Financial Services Consultant at KPMG.
