Jessie Handbury is an Associate Professor at the Wharton School, where she teaches real estate investments. Her research interests lie at the intersection of urban economics, intranational trade, and industrial organization. Her research has been published in the Review of Economic Studies, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, and the Journal of Urban Economics. She is an NBER Faculty Research Fellow and serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Housing Economics and the Journal of Economic Geography. She attended Columbia University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics and a PhD in Economics.
