Brazilian President Michel Temer is facing single-digit approval ratings, and there has been talk of impeachment after secret tapes released last month caught him discussing political bribery. During a recent appearance on Knowledge@Wharton’s SiriusXM show, William Burke-White, inaugural director of Penn’s Perry World House, and Christopher Sabatini, a lecturer at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and executive director of Global Americans, a research non-profit, discussed the impact of Temer’s weakening position in the country just 10 months after his predecessor was impeached.
