President Donald Trump’s critical tweets this week about the U.S. trade relationship with Germany came on the heels of a comment by German Chancellor Angela Merkel that her country could no longer count on allies like America and U.K. as it has in the past. During a recent appearance on Knowledge at Wharton’s SiriusXM show, Wharton management professor Mauro Guillen and Stephen Szabo, executive director of the Transatlantic Academy, a research institution at the German Marshall Fund, discussed the state of U.S.-E.U. relations and how the comments made by the two leaders will reverberate into the future.
The Knowledge at Wharton SiriusXM show airs Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. EST, on Wharton Business Radio on SiriusXM channel 111.
