Today, Illinois-based Motorola leads in North America and is investing heavily in China, Garriques said during a talk at the recent 2005 Wharton Technology Conference. He also discussed the competition (Nokia), new products (the Razr V3), the convergence of mobile phones with digital music players, and what he called the "mobility premium" and "location-based services."
