Across the world, the popularity of Indian food is growing and Indian restaurant chains are following the taste buds. Business owners see a lot of potential because of the Indian diaspora, and Indian food is also gaining acceptance worldwide. Foodies are quickly learning that Indian cuisine is much more than curry, biryani and tandoori chicken.

Replete with comfortable chairs, free wi-fi and the smell of freshly-baked bread, Panera is not your average fast food joint. The company is one of the fastest-growing chains in the U.S., with 1,420 stores and a roughly $3 billion market capitalization. During the depths of the downturn, when most companies contracted, Panera grew in size and profits. 10,000 Women, KMD trained faculty members from
10,000 Women partners around the globe to teach creative industry management. Professors traveled from Africa, the Philippines, China, Brazil, Egypt and other countries in November 2010 to attend a week of workshops at KMD. Inspired by new ways of thinking, they are bringing their learning back to the classroom.
10,000 Women scholar Olusola Adegbesan networked during the certificate program at Pan African University's Enterprise Development Services and scored a contact with Mr. Biggs, a major food chain in Nigeria. She inked the deal to supply her company's rice and flour products through service, samples and repeated follow up visits, valuable strategies for small business suppliers who need to attract and maintain big-name contracts.

On a pleasant winter evening in 2009, several dozen men and women gathered at the Indian embassy in Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates, to celebrate the 90th anniversary of a family business that has grown from a one-stop shop in Basra to a wholesale and retail venture that spans the Middle East. The Jashanmal Group is now run by the fourth generation.
